Quran Activists to be Honored at Closing Ceremony of Tehran’s International Quran Exhibition

The 33rd International Holy Quran Exhibition in Tehran will conclude with a prestigious ceremony honoring dedicated servants of the Quran, with the participation of the President of Iran. The event will recognize outstanding contributions across various sections, including the International Pavilion, Nahj al-Balagha, and Sahifa Sajjadiya.

Hawzah News Agency- Speaking to reporters, Hassan Mohammadi, head of the Quran Servants Association at the exhibition, explained that the evaluation process for nearly 200 candidates has reached its final stage. “Approximately 14 to 15 distinguished Quranic activists will be formally recognized during the closing ceremony,” he said.

Organized Recognition of Quranic Excellence

Special arrangements have been made by the Culture, Communications, and International Affairs departments to present the honorees in a structured, international-standard program. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn about each awardee’s achievements through video clips and QR codes linking to detailed biographies and service records.

“Two scientific sessions have already been held, and from tonight onward, an average of one session per evening — with two sessions on some nights — will take place under the Quran Servants Association program,” Mohammadi noted.

Supreme Quran Council Engagement

He also highlighted the ongoing activities of the Supreme Quran Council, which operates through three specialized branches: talent identification, listening and evaluation, and educational development. The council’s sessions and explanatory gatherings have seen significant public engagement, reflecting the growing interest in Quranic scholarship and community participation.

Transparent and Rigorous Selection

Mohammadi emphasized that this year’s selection process followed established regulations, with careful supervision by expert committees and Quranic councils to ensure fair and evidence-based evaluation of nominees. The national platform for identifying and registering Quranic servants was activated three months ago, through which over 175 candidates were formally entered for assessment, alongside additional nominees via alternative channels.

A Celebration of Service and Spiritual Dedication

Pending logistical arrangements, the closing ceremony is expected to take place in the presence of the Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, symbolizing national appreciation for years of dedicated Quranic service. The event underscores the central role of Quranic culture in Iranian society and highlights the commitment of individuals who have devoted themselves to the preservation, study, and dissemination of the Holy Quran.

The ceremony marks not only the conclusion of the exhibition but also a public acknowledgment of the scholars, educators, and activists whose efforts continue to strengthen Quranic awareness and practice throughout the country.
